    Webinar Description

"Let me ask you a question: Why are you teaching? Which is the end goal of your work, as teacher, parent or trainer?"

In TAGteach we focus on one single detail to make the learning process easier for the learner and more effective. We know that this is a correct application of Skinner's behavioral laws and - most important- we have countless stories of great success.

But: do we know why are we teaching? Do we have in mind a clear goal that we want to achieve with our students?

In this webinar "Goals in Education: the TAGteach Impact" we'll talk about the goals in education from the perspective of the behavioral science. We'll discuss the reasons why goals should be the compasses of our learning plans and how we can use them to engineer our students' achievements using TAGteach.

    Webinar Description

    Language: English

In this webinar the Scandinavian duo Eva and Emelie (Carpe Momentum) delve into teaching people teaching animals! To develop competent, confident and creative animal trainers, we need to be as good teachers for the human part of the team as for the non-human part.  Being a good teacher means includes goals and goal setting, how to set up for success, how to develop independence and how to work with groups, as well as building vital trainer skills such as mechanics, planning and more. Whether you teach group lessons, give private lessons, train with friends or work on your own, this webinar will help you set up for successful learning for the human side of animal training.

This is Part 1 of a two part series. Click here for more info on Part 2.

When you register for part one you'll get a discount code that you use to get $5 off part 2 (this does not apply to TAGteachers as you will get half price on both automatically if your membership is up to date)

So how can you make it all work? How can you structure a class so that the dogs and the people do their best, no one is left out, and everyone succeeds? In this webinar Scandinavian instructors Emelie and Eva (Carpe Momentum) give you an insight in their way of teaching group classes!

    Theme

We've asked our speakers to tailor their talks to our theme of the convergence of animal and human training. There is a lot that animal trainers can learn from human trainers and vice versa. Our human learners can (mostly) talk to us and tell us what they like and what they don't. They are more forgiving than animals in some ways and less forgiving in others. Our animal learners talk to us only with their behavior and so reading body language is an essential skill in animal training that human trainers can benefit from too. This is the first event of its kind which brings human and animal trainers together for the express purpose of aligning our practice, and that integrates leading edge technology both in the delivery and the subject matter. We're excited and we expect a fabulous response to this unprecedented event!

The first Choice Control & Communication Conference, ccc2018, took place in January 2018. The conference was a raving success with top notch presenters sharing important, thought-provoking, discussion-evoking presentations to an enthusiastic audience with a wide variety of backgrounds, all with a strong interest in modern and progressive animal care. We networked, discussed, made plans for the future and even shed som tears of marvel. (Go to ccc2018.se if you want to know more about the presentations of 2018.)

It's now time to make plans for ccc2019!

When? November16-17, 2019 (plus reception night Friday 15th)
Where? Ljungskile on the Swedish west coast.

This year we will focus especially on voluntary handling and cooperative care. Together we can speed up the progress and set new standards for human-animal interactions! The details of the 2019 sessions are yet to be set, and the presenter list is still under construction, but in order to match and top last year's success we of course have to bring back a lot of your favorite people from ccc2018. So stay tuned!
